Bicycle Riding – Indoor, Outdoor, Stationary
With outdoor cycling, I get the fresh air and sunshine as added benefits. Sometimes I pick routes with hills and difficult terrain, but for every incline up the hill, there is a decline. Because of this I soon purchased a stationary bike to help improve my cardio and stamina. I located the bike in the garage and it came in handy when the weather outside was poor. Then I moved the stationary bike out to the garden; like the bike, the view was stationary. I didn’t want to make additional expenses, so I taped an existing phone holder to stationary bike and streamed cycling videos for motivation and entertainment.
In my assessment, the stationary bike trumps outdoor riding when exercise is the only objective. A bicycle is handy for getting around town, mindfulness or just exploring a new areas. My preferred combination is a Mountain Bike with a Trainer Stand both for storage and indoor exercise in bad weather.
